YEF SENIOR LEAD TRAINING 

OVERVIEW

Designed to support Senior Leads to implement trauma informed and mentally healthy practices into their school, this course will ensure that Leads have knowledge, skills and understanding to translate the approach into policy and practice to drive crucial change and optimise the well-being of both adults and pupils in their school.

There are 9 cohorts of SLT training taking place between January and April 2024; the two days will be approximately a week apart and will run from 9.30am-4pm. This training is for staff who have input into policy and whole school practice, and will be responsible for embedding a Trauma Informed approach across the school. The content of the Whole Staff Training will be included within these two days and so staff who attend will not also need to attend the 3-hour training (but are welcome to). The number of staff attending will depend on school size, but we recommend a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 10.

Please note, this training page is intended for staff working for intervention schools that are part of the YEF funded trial. It is only possible to access these training sessions if your school has submitted an MoU to TISUK, completed baseline surveys and been allocated to the Intervention arm of the trial.
