Senior Trainer 

  • Heidi has been teaching in schools for 19 years, with 10 years as a headteacher or executive leader across both maintained and multi-academy trusts. Heidi has a successful school improvement track record.
  • Heidi’s most recent school leadership role has been as a CEO of two sister trusts.
  • Heidi has extensive experience of supporting school leadership teams to prepare for external inspections. Her own experience as a teacher and, later, headteacher has given her a firm understanding of school pressures, Her enthusiastic and rigorous approach to school improvement focuses on ensuring all children have access to the very best educational opportunities. 
  • Heidi passionately believe that headteachers and staff should be empowered to focus on their central purpose—achieving outstanding outcomes and providing broad curriculum opportunities for each and every child. She believes this is best achieved through high quality leadership and teaching – effective inclusive practice and meeting the needs of the most vulnerable learners is central to this.

Heidi divides her time between working in both a practical and advisory capacity; training, supporting and challenging schools to further develop their school improvement systems and processes alongside embedding and developing their trauma informed practices. Heidi is delighted to be working with Trauma Informed Schools as a trainer and educational consultant, focusing on supporting educational professionals to understand and embed whole school approaches enabling children and young people to be the best they can be.
